THE SPECS

The Gordini Polar Glove stood up to the elements as we toured through the backcountry of Southwest Colorado on a 10-degree morning. The glove features an AquaBloc® waterproof, windproof and breathable insert that helped protect our hands from the elements. Water-resistant 750-fill DownTek™ insulation on the back of the hand, along with a Megaloft® synthetic insulation at the palm, added extra warmth components to the glove without adding extra bulk. A 4-way stretch nylon and genuine deerskin softshell provided extra durability and exterior protection.

GETTING INTO THE DETAILS

Several smaller components of the glove were nice additions that helped improve the overall composition of the glove. The moisture wicking lining kept sweat to a minimum, and an exterior nose wipe is always beneficial for cold days where a runny nose is common.

The glove features a gauntlet-style cuff with a drawcord closure and wrist cinch, further assisting in keeping wind and snow from entering the glove. A leash attached to a thicker wrist strap ensures that the glove won’t get lost while slipping on and off throughout the day.

OUR REVIEW

At first glance, the Gordini Polar Glove was sleek and sturdy. We thoroughly enjoyed the thicker wrist strap that the glove includes, which provided a heightened sense of security, and assured us this glove wasn’t going anywhere. Slipping on the glove provides immediate warmth and protection from the elements. The soft lining was a nice touch, and had our hands feeling cozy all day long.

If you’re interested in trying out the Gordini Polar Glove, we highly recommend going up one size. We tested the the large and found that having a little extra wiggle room for our fingers would have been nice.
